My Angel

I've never really seen my angel but I know she's there.

Night after night she's saved my life from afar.

A few words to console my aching my heart.

A little encouragement just to let me know.

She comes to me late in the night

When the daemons like to come out and play.

She offers her hand in friendship.

And I grab for it as if it were a life line.

Just praying I don't pull her under with me.

She comes to me wearing many robes and colours.

But always with the same heart and love.

I know I have hurt her at times.

and worn her down to a frazzle with my anguish.

But night after night she appears with a fresh smile.

A precious soul sent from above to care for me.

To care for such a wretched soul, such a person as me.

I dream of angels and I walk with daemons.

The daemons in my mind that I must carry for life.

Yet my angel cares not, for she knows.

So my angel THANK-YOU
