Black Mania
Oh the terrible
twisted roads of torment and pain. Scrambled thoughts
crash down cliffs, scattered pieces remain. On the playground when
I was a lad, Children will be
children, but the things they said hurt real bad. Words of appraisal I
did not know, But the wrath of
dissatisfaction always delivered a mighty blow. I stand alone in
crowds of plenty. I wonder do they like
me, are they friends or enemies? I kid myself I don’t
like people or need any friends. And self abusive
thoughts never let the wounds mend. Lord, I’m so tired
of being lonely and afraid, Life can be a living
hell, my dues have been paid. Ship wrecked and lost
in a sea of self pity, The waves of guilt and
remorse come in plenty. I swim against a
strong tide of self destruction, And my life is a maze
of mixed up emotions. Crushed, torn, and
worn I stand here a humble man. God! I can’t do it
by myself, do you mind if I get a helping hand.
