Tennessee Morning
One of the things in
life I enjoy best, I do while everyone is
still in bed getting rest. Early in the morning
while the sun is still down, I leave the house and
take a walk around. The smell of freshly
cut grass fills the air, This is one aroma
I’m glad mother nature shares. Yeah, this is a
beautiful spring morning, And I can see a great
day in the forming. The air is cool and
fresh as I breath it in, And I receive a
peaceful feeling within. The trees and grass
are still covered with dew, I no longer fill aged,
but fill brand new. The song of a mocking
bird melts the morning silence, Chirping crickets
harmonize as they compose melodies with perfect balance. These peaceful sounds
give me great pleasure, And I cherish them
like a kings treasure. Seeing the sky as it
changes from dark to light, Makes me wish I were a
bird so I could join it in flight. Doing little things
like this are important to me, And no matter where
I’m at my heart’s in Tennessee.
